Greetings,
1xAlarm is an app that resolves duplicate alarms between the CO Date Book and Palm Date Book applications.
Please see this previous discussion for more details: app to resolve dupe alarms (http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60869&page=1&pp=15).
If you would like to try this app, you can download it here: download page (http://www3.sympatico.ca/swam-pert/clie/1xAlarm/).
I am the author of this application. Please treat this as beta software and make a full backup to ms before trying it. I'm still interested in knowing how well this works for everyone and would appreciate any feedback.
[Edit: changed the link to point to the download page].

I have put together a download page and changed the link to point to it. Hopefully this helps those having difficulty with a direct link.
If you have downloaded the beta and/or would like to be notified when the app is updated, please send me e-mail at the address on the download page.
gregormunro, I have e-mailed you the app -- please let me know if you don't receive it.

Hi Jo,
Sorry for the late response. Lately I have not been checking the forum as regularly as I usually do, and just saw your post.
By 'World Alarm' did you mean WA Clock? I am running WA Clock version 1.12 from the NX73V. I just tried and could not reproduce the problem you saw -- which is bad news for me since it makes it that much harder to track it down.
Are you still seeing the problem? If yes, it would be great if you could capture the error message. Also, let me know if it *is* WA Clock you are running and which version.
Thanks,
Simon

Hi Gunhed,
My mistakes, after further investigation, I narrow it down to syncer 1.2.
Here what I do, I have WA Clock for alarm every week day 7:00 am, and every morning when I woke up I would stop the WA clock alarm then I got the error message.
I did not have this before I have the 1xalarm, so I just point the finger to 1xalarm.
On the weekend where I don't have the alarm set on WA Clock, I still got the error message so out of curiosity I turn of the WA Clock all together, still got the error message in the morning.
The I remember I do get a Syncer 1.2 at the same time of 1xalarm.
The I disabled the 1xalarm, no more error.
Thanks
Jo

This is great, duplicate alarms are the only thing that stop the TH55 from being my favourite Palm PDA. But does anybody actual use the standard Datebook?
Anyway it would be great if you could add Agendus support. Don't understand why they haven't fixed this in Agendus as Datebk5 has.

Jingo,
Thanks for the suggestion. I should be able to add Agendus support, and in fact already have the code down. I just have not got around to fully testing it and packaging it up. Hopefully it will be done in a week or two though.

In what version did Datebk5 made the fix? I'm running V5.1b, s1. and sometimes I get duplicate entries.

Your download link doesn't seem to be working. Could I get a copy sent to jbbooks@yahoo.com? I'd really appreciate it. The dual alarms are driving me bonkers!
thanks in advance.

rbentley,
Thanks for providing the link. Unfortunately, the download there is the same link.
For some reason, Sympatico's 'personal web space' server has been down for days and they have not replied to me as to its status. When I find an alternative home for 1xAlarm I will update the link here.
For now, I have uploaded the file to the freeware section here under 'Utilities (http://www.1src.com/freeware/index.php?cid=20)'.
Ken - I have emailed you a copy.
Streamhawk, if you are still seeing duplicates with DB5 please PM or email me.

I've never had a dupe alarm with s1 which is what I'm also running. (They're up to s7 so it might be worth a look.) Maybe you mean something else by "entry"? As I recall the DB5 fix is that apps like CO can still set their alarm so you may see a dupe entry with an alarm list utility, but DB5's is set a few seconds early and it unsets the other alarm before it goes off.
