Battery saver...

Anyone know of a program that will turn off the backlight or dim it even further than the normal control allows on the Z72. There used to a be a program for the Z71, but I have lost it and can't find it on the net anywhere.

Hi, it's junglemike, just can't register. There's a Dimmer program that will allow you to reduce the brightness all the way down to zero. There is also some freeware program, but i don't remember it's name.

Download BL Off (backlight off). It's freeware.

Thanks, but the prog doesn't work...it resets the brightness to half and that's all...

Tried that one too...the 40% setting is the dimmist (is that really a word???) setting going below that only brightens the screen and the forty percent is the same as winding it all the way down with the standard interface.
