Looks like they are trying to get everything off for the new palms, so, we will see soon the next generation pams, once they get this palms out.

Am i right?

Dunno, possibly - or possibly they are cutting production costs and trying to push the new Zire line and the T3.

Remember that prices always are pushed down in order to increase sales. After the gizmo-geeks, hobyists, gadget gurus and people that just have to have the newest of the newest the prices drop in order to pull the rest of the market.

Not necesarily a sign of a new model in the bullpen...

Exactly, increase sales.

Either to increase profits when sales are down, or,
Reduce/clear out inventory for new product...

I recently read an article about Toshiba pulling out of the Handheld market. Just as Sony is doing. The article clearly stated that the whole Handheld market shrunk in the last year about 2% with some manufacturers reporting on losses of about 12% of the market.

So I would say it is more on the side to increase profits due to poor sales.

Remember when the T3 was just a rumor? There were tons of pictures, articles, underground sites and of course lots and lots of rumors about it. I believe there has not been such a level of hysteria about a T4.

Besides OS 6 (or Garnet or whatever) has been clearly stated to be more about phone-palm devices than pure PDAs. So if a T4 is comming up I really doubt it will have OS 6 in it.

Actually it's the other way around jledesma. OS6(Cobalt) is for pda's and OS5(Garnet) will be for the smart phones.
