I am curious, is the TG viewing screen the same size as the viewing screen on the SJ33? While looking at the pictures of the TG, it and then putting my finger over the graffie area of the SJ33, they look the same.

Also, the first leaked information said trhe screen resolution on the TG50 was 320x480 (same as the NZ and NX series) nbut now they say it is the lower resolution. Why would they put the lower resolution screen in the TG when they have update everything else? I do like the clarity of the screen on the NX and NZ and it does seem to be a bit brighter in the sunlight.

Still trying to decide if I should stick to the SJ33 or take it back and get the TG50 or the NZ,NX series. The one thing that drives me crazy is how much the screen darkens outside. Guess I am spoiled by my IPAQ 3950 which is as easy to see outside as it is inside. Same screen as Sony clie!

the resolution on the TG is 320x320 because all they could fit is a similar square screen on the TG as on the SJ as opposed to the rectangular (320x480) screens on the NX/NZ. Viewing something on a 480x320 screen that is square would make it look like somebody squashed the image.

Wrong, because the NX/NZ is ONLY 480x320 when grafitii is lowered, when It is up it looks like a normal 320x320 screen

I just switched from an SJ33 to a TG50, and the screen was 95% of the reason. I couldn't read the SJ33 when I was taking notes in meetings. The TG50's screen is of MUCH better quality.

if you read the original post, rhart was saying that only 320 x 320 would fit in a SQUARE screen. If 320 x 480 resolution was put into a square screen it would look really squished, which is true.

Well, SJ33 has a longer battery life than TG50 due to its slower processor. And it has a lower price.

Other than these two reasons, I think TG50 is much better than SJ33 due to its faster processor, BT functionality, built-in keyboard, smoother movie, and many much more.

I agree with you. The TG50 is alot better in many ways but there's always those higher digits in price. If the TG50 is going to be used for productive purposes, it's going to be worth while in the long run. The extra word put into the TG50's description was "entertainment," intentionally directed towards those who like gadgets and fun mixed in together with things made for business users and busy multi-tasked people. I'm just a student about to attend college. Perhaps this may help or maybe I'll just figure that I mixed up the difference between what I want and what I need. =D
