Can't be done, The UX50 doesn't have an enhanced IR so the range is only about three feet. Besides, the last thing you need is something will decrease the already pitifull battery life of a UX50.

If the digitizer of my old m505 still worked I would use it as a remote controller, it had a freaking powerful IR port
