Anybody know anything about a program called Earth Watch by Kitt Peak? Their web site is http://www.kittpeak.co.jp/earthwatch/index_e.html looks like a cool program, but seems to never have been released.
I know the program and it does look cool. The problem I have had is that I could never get it to completely download properly - so I gave up. Will check again however, it may work this time.

I haven't heard anything more on this app either. However, there is a similar app called Time Place 4 (http://www.classactionpl.com/TimePlace/index.htm) , but doesn't have the climate feature. It has an alarm, DST, day/night with 2 views of the earth (you can rotate the globe), and hi-res graphics.
Hi again- just checked and apparently it has never been released and the trial demo has expired.

Yes I too found out the trial demo had expired. I have time Place 4 and it is very good. I wonder if it was a spin off of the Earth Watch program. I wonder why they still have it on their website. I had e mailed them, but no reply.

I loaded the EarthWatch demo and then reset the NX's date to a date prior to the expiration date, and it ran fine. Funny thing is that I REALLY like "Time Place 4" much better. TP4's Interface is easier to use: Just tap and drag the globe, and it moves to where you want. With the EW demo, when you tap the globe, a pop-up of available locations pops up and then it does a cute spin and zoom, but it really is more "fluff" than function. TP4's UI seems more flexible, so that's what I'll stick with.
EarthWatch is kinda cool, though!

Yup, I discovered the same thing last night and I agree with you "Time Place 4 " is a much better program. Now if they would add the temp. and rain info it would really be great.

WorldMate's pretty good: that gives you a pretty map where you can click on cities for times, and then get updated weather info and forecasts. It also includes cash conversion (with rates automatically updated), international clothes/shoe size comparisons, time zones and conversion tools.

Thanks, Byte2be, for posting the link to Time Place 4.
I work with multinational clients. In the just more than a day that I've loaded it, the more right-brained people in my department appreciate the 'big picture' of the globe when trying to figure the best time to contact someone.
