View Full Version : Looking real hard at Cingular, Motorola V600 & TG50

Finally, Cingular has gotten GSM service to my area ... and I've been itching to go wireless with my TG50's BT. Thing is, of course, I need a new phone - with BT. The only one they're offering in the area now is the Motorla V600. A bit pricey, but from what I've read, a good phone for voice (not sure about data).

Consider this my version of 20 (divided by 7?) questions ....
1) Has anyone used this exact set up and if so, what's your experience?
2) Has anyone used Cingular's GSM for data over their Clie ... and same ... your experience?
3) Any potential pitfalls in this set up which you'd warn against?

Thanks!!!

Simply verify with Cingular that they support digital data in your area. If so www.supplynetwireless.com has the connection cable.

Thanks. I have confirmed that they now have digital data in the area ... and the phone and Clie are both bluetooth, so should preclude a cable. Was hoping someone had experience with some parts of the set up - at least the perforance of the Cingular data. Hate putting out the money if the performance is terrible.

Finally "bit the bullet" and got a Sony Ericsson T637. After some trials and tribulations (and a few calls to Cingular), I'm on-line with them. In fact, am posting this with NetFront..
btw - Cingular couldn't get it working - but the good folks here did!
