Beaming between old and newer Palm devices

I just traded up to a Clie NX-60 from a Palm VII. One of the reasons, which I'm still dealing with, is the fact that I can't do any beaming of info to or from the Palm VII to newer palms. I know it still works, since I was able to beam to a Handspring.

Any ideas?
