Just bought an NZ-90 and this is my first palm ever, im a little daunted and a lot confused. I thought maybe the people here could help me, I have a 256mb memory card for it which I'm using but I feel like i've barely skimmed my PDA's surface.

I would like to be able to use it to get directions for places (no Wi-Fi card though) and I have a bluetooth phone. I need help integrating the two so that I can surf the internet through my phone on my PDA. I am trying not to spend any money on APP's so freeware is preferred but im open-minded to anything essential.

Is there a way to get it to store webpages I frequently visit on the PDA not just the ones Avant Go offers?

Also, is there a way to set it up so it can check my e-mail @ignmail.com for me or even hotmail (or G-Mail when it is out etc...)

EDIT: Also I want to move all my contacts from my phone to my PDA, how do I do this? I have a nokia 3650.

Thanks in Advance

Avinon,

Who is your phone service provider? I have the same set up as you, and I'm on T-mobile. I surf the net all the time via bluetooth connection to my nokia 3650 and GSM/GPRS.

You can send the contact information from the phone to the nz90, 1 contact at a time, via bluetooth. It's an option in the contact menu of the phone. Maybe a little time consuming but it will work.

I use net front 3.1 as my web browser. tap on the menu icon select edit and select add page memo (this stores the whole page). To save just a picture tap and hold on it for a few seconds and a pop up screan will ask you if you want to save the pic and what name to give it.

I can check both my aol email and my company email by goint directly to my online mail boxes, no added software on the nz90. I have had problems sending attachments from nz90 through aol mail and have not tried it with company mail.

Sorry it took so long to reply, I’ve been on vacation and on business for a while

1) Go to preferences > Bluetooth

Pair the devices via BT, settings as follows
Blue tooth = enabled
Device Name = (any name)
Allow to be discovered = yes
Allow wake up = no
Click trusted devices then click add device
Make sure BT is enabled on your phone as well
Note, you may be asked to key in an authorization code, just enter 1 in each device.

2) Go to preferences > connections > new

Name your connection (tmonet for example)
Connect to: modem
Via: Bluetooth
Device: tap to discover (your phone should be recognized) click OK
Go back to connect to: and change modem to PC

3) Go to preferences > network

Service = your connection name (tmonet)
User name = a
Password = a
Connection = your connection name (tmonet)
Click details

Connection type = PPP
Idle timeout = Never
Query DSN = checked
IP address automatic is checked
Click Script

Now you have to enter in the initialization string for your phone and carrier service. Mine is;

Send: at+cgdcont=1,"IP","internet2.voicestream.com" (this address is for t-mobile only AT+T is different)
Send CR: leave blank
Send: atd*99# (this is the number your phone dials to access GPRS)
Send CR: leave blank
End:

This is the setup t-mobile told me to use. It doesn’t use any drivers. The best way to describe it is it sets you up like you’re on a LAN with a proxy connection.

Good luck J
