Jog Wheel question?

On my NX70, I use Tealmaster hack manager and JogPage Hack. JogPage Hack can be found on Palm Gear by searching for it. JogPage Hack is a freebie while Tealmaster is not. Tealmaster is the only hack manager that works on OS5, but a lot of old hacks still don't work. I use it with Z-Launcher, additionally with Tealmaster, you can auto enable/disable per app, so for example the stock launcher still works if you need it. It will NOT page the OEM launcher or LauncherX, but works well in other apps.

Thanks n2ifp.  I hated those apps that only scrolled 1 line at a time, like ClieFiles.  I'll click on the file I want, but let it scroll a page at a time.  This did the trick for me.

This is getting very frustrated. I cannot use the jog dial as the way it is since I hate scrolling item by item.

I just downloaded Okey as someone told that this enhancement would fix my problem. Probably I am doing something wrong but I don't see anything except for the 2 arrows placed in the graphity area. Then I downloaded JogPage which I need to have the JogAssist enable. Where I can enable the JogAssist? I do not see any setting by that name. Can some give me a few pointer?

The only thing I would like to do is to be able to scroll page by page instead of line by line and also change the back button to emulate an enter. I know that with my Handera I was able to do that and also there is jog dial setting in the SJ30 that I cannot find in the NX.

Okey won't do anything for you except add invisible hard buttons plus two arrows on the status bar.

Did you read my previous post? It does exactly what you want, like you I can stand the line x line scrolling, I want page scrolling. With the addition of Tealmaster, it will allow you to disable it on certain apps if you want to.

You need JogPage Hack and Tealmaster which works on the NX with OS5. Please see my previous post for the links. JogPage Hack is freeware, Tealmaster is not.

There is no jog wheel setting in the NX70! Other Clies have it, but not the NX.

On Clie Lancher, using the back button toggles between the Jog scrolling the apps or the catagories. Helps a little....

I tried the JogPage without success. If I go to any apps the scrolling still line by line instead page by page. Can you let me know what setting you have in yours.

quick question, are you running a hack master like x-master or teal master and do you have jogpage hack check off as on? I'm been using it forever and the only problem I've had with it is it not working with Launcher X.

wait, I answered my own question, hacks aren't compatible with the OS 5. Have you tried Jog Everything?

I am running teal master and have jogpage check as on, but I don't see any difference. In the readme file mentioned that I need to have Jog Assist enable. I don't know how to enabled Jog Assist since I don't find that setting in my NX. Does Jog Assist already active in NX?

No, there is no jog assist setting, but leave super jog assist on, IF YOU USING Okey. Okey is NOT necessary, but if it's installed, make sure the Super Jog Assist is left enabled.

Paging worked well with YiShow and ZLauncher, not with the stock Sony launchers. As another user mentioned, it does NOT work with LauncherX.

In the meantime, I'll check my settings.

Right, it won't work with LauncherX, that's one big reason why I don't use LauncherX. JogPage Hack with Tealmaster does work with YiSHow and ZLauncher on two NX70's with OS5. My brother and I each have one in the same household. It also works well with apps like McFile and many others. You can use profile mapping to auto disable it for certain apps if you so choose. I have it diasabled for the stock Sony launcher only. Otherwise nothing worked at all, but it won't page.

I am not familiar with Jog Everything. I tried searching for it, but came up empty.

Make sure Tealmaster is running and it shows Profile A in the upper right hand corner of the Tealmaster screen. If it doesn't have a profile, it's not active. In the Tealmaster menu, under preferences, select 1 second and all other boxes should be checked. Under profile mapping make sure both boxes are checked there. In PalmOS 5.0 Emulation all boxes are checked.

Larry, thanks for your response. I do use LauncherX so probably that is the reason a don't see any changes. I will try again without LauncherX to see if I get a better result.

Try one of your other apps like McFile.

This may have been posted, but I didn't see it, and maybe everyone knows it already...
Most apps that scroll only one line at a time can be scrolled one page at a time by pushing in the jog dial when rotating it.
