i have a few questions about this unit.

i will be using this clie to take notes in class, play some games and listen to music.


What are the differences?

how long does the battery last?

how is the music quality? can you choose the bitrate?

What is the going price for one of these? Used and new

The nx has a better camera with zoom, takes movies and has a 288 mhz prosessor vs a 60mhz . The nx is so much faster then the nr It's like day and night in speed.

Also there are a lot more you can do with the built in silkscreen.

I like my nx 100x more than the old nr i was using

Speed is a big difference 66MHz vs 200MHz

The NR had memory stick issues and the contacts.

WiFi capability on the NX

Battery life is about the same with all things being equal. Using a WiFi card will chew up more battery power.

Music is basically the same and bit rate can go up to 320, just don't try and use VBR or variable bit rate, it won't work.

I am sure there are more reasons for going the NX route

Look back through some the threads here for prices. Sony also sells refurbs too.

Go for the NX, its so much better!! More functionality!

Just don't forget the fact that it only has 11MB usable ram instead of 15.

Hacks aren't probably an issue for you at the moment so there's no need to worry about them.
