I have the ux50 I got my extended battery about 2 weeks ago. I am now looking for a case that supports the ux50 and the extended battery. What I want to know is does any body have the case from Proporta that supports the extended battery. How is it, And can you post some pictures of it and of the ux50 with the battery in it, also how it looks open and close.

I have the Bellagio Case and it supports the UX50 with the extended battery attached.
It also has a belt clip (w/swivel) that is good for wearing the UX50.
Overall it is OK, but it does not do too well in protecting the edges of the Clie. It also lacks an additional pocket for carrying earphones or the like, though it does have 2 slots in the flap for memory sticks. I still have to use an IPod earbud case to keep it all with me for usefulness.
It has a button on the back (for belt clipping) that keeps the case from lying flat or being used in a pocket or the like.
I can post a photo of it if you are interested. Google for their site for more info.

Well, yes & no.
I didn't until I bought the EB40. Now basically, I just use the little grey pouch that came with the EB as a case. I just slide it into my pocket & go.

before I do a pic win. I want to say the case I picked says HP on it, but it fits SOOO well with the UX I had to buy it, to tell you how well, on a budget I still spent 30$ on it. its a horizontal belt style. As I do not have a EB 40 yet, it was still a major impication in buying the right case, so I put the charging cradle on the ux before putting in the case. It fits perfect, more snug with the cradle or battery you cant see the HP because its like stiched, and it will perfectly hold 1 mem stick. in its own pocket. I looked at every UX case till i found this HP pda one LOL, u might not be able to use it as its to unpure for a ranger tho... um that is if the battery is rifgt around the size of the cradle, if it isnt let me know, because if its a lot bigger ill need another case also

I've been using the Bellagio Case without the belt clip for months now. No problems. The plastic strap I just put Over the Battery and attach the UX through it to the battery. No problems, except that I've had one Memory stick turn up broken. I suspect that when I had it in a pocket it got knocked or pressed, and cracked the memory stick casing. (the memory is intact, its just the outer shell that is broken.)

well I took some pics with my sony camcorder, there not the best, on a side note when i tried to upload from my clie, everything was fine until i went to return from uploaded my attachments, it would not let me go back, anyway, note in the mem stick pocket it was two pockets seperated by a thin weave of thread, i used scissors (hmmm sp?) to cut it now its perfect for only one memstick, well maybe two, but they would be close. also note the HP, this wouldnt work for the purist out there but its the best case I found and I looked at a lot of them, also the pocket shot (last pic, you see a slit on the front w/it open) there is NO cradle on the UX, the others I put the cradle in for a EB40 to show the size effect.

I'd say the EB is slightly thicker than the charging cradle. Just a little though.

Here are pictures of the case I use:
http://www.artificiallives.com/pics/PEG-UX50/index.php
After lining the outside pocket with felt it turned into a great little Clie holder. I think I paid <10 bucks for the thing. I've been using it for at least 5 or 6 months now. I purchased the case from Sears.

You can either put the strap over the keyboard or you can put it around the EB40 and then snap the UX50 onto the EB40. It works well either way. It just took a little effort to get the strap onto the EB40 evenly so that it wouldn't interfere with my being able to lock the battery onto the UX50 properly.

Yes, I like the case a lot! The strap doesn't get in the way so I don't even notice it.
