for a description of the problem. This is also the case with my NZ. After hours of researching this issue, I decided to write Pimlico Software about it. Here's what "CESD" had to say. BTW, DateBk5 is a cool date book.

"There is no documentation that I can find regarding how these
converted alarm sounds are implemented. So far I have determined
that the converted sounds are stored in the PCM Sound database.
DateBk5, V-5.0b and later *DO* handle the PCM Sound library, but the
Palm API function to enumerate all the sounds in that library do not
appear to find the converted sounds. At this point, I have not had
the time to pursue this to find out why this is. It could be a
trivial problem, or a more complicated one based on some
undocumented information.

Unfortunately many licensees like Sony, Kyocera and Samsung, modify
the built-in applications to cater to proprietary features in their
OS, but they then do not feel obliged to document them.

When time permits, I do intend to pursue this further to try and
determine what is going on. I have sent off a note to Sony's
technical support, but so far, I have never been successful in
getting a response from them on bugs that I have found in the Sony
Palm OS, and so have few expectations on hearing from them on what
is likely just a documentation issue...."

Cheers!
CESD, Pimlico Software, Inc.
