I love the Hi-Res capabilities of my NR70V, but I wish more programs took advantage of it.  I have checked the lists I have found online, but no sign of a Hi-Res version of WordToGo.  Does anyone know of any plans or release dates for one?  I also haven't had much luck finding emails clients that are Hi-Res.  Can anyone recommend any?  Thanks In Advance...

Documents to Go v. 5.004 includes Hi-Res support so could it be that you are using an older version?

Hmmm. I've got version 4.003, which came with my NR70V. I wonder if the upgrade is free or not.

I think the upgrade to the Premium edition (which may be the only one that supports high res) is $29.95. I personally think it is well worth the money, and made the upgrade myself.

With the premium version you get Data Viz Mail as well, which lets you open attachments on your Clie (very useful) :)

I may have to look into this. I'm not sure I would pay $30 to upgrade Documents To Go by itself. I really just use Docs to go for the Word functions, basically downloading news articles from the web and to takes notes for a book I am writing. Still, I like the idea of a Hi-Res version. If it includes the mail program, too, I may have to consider it. Most email programs are very limited. Has anyone else had experience with either product?

For importing text, images or web pages to your PDA try HandStorywww.handstory.com. There is a freeware version, HandStory Basic.

Hi,

I have been using Wordsmith since the Doc to go that came with the Clie is yucky as it does not support Hi-Res. Wordsmith in my opinion is much better than Doc to go.

Also the latest version of QuickOffice Premium lets you open Words and Excel in their native format. So you don't need to convert them to palm format. It comes with a mail prog and something to view powerpoint files as well. Not very sure though.

For me, I would rather spend my money on Wordsmith, Tinysheet or Quick Office than Doc to go

OK, I broke down and upgraded to the latest version of WordToGo. I like the Hi-Res version quite a bit and the use of the extra screen space makes a huge difference. A few downsides, though... takes up a ton of space. Just installing WordToGo and the required Documents program takes up over 700K. I also installed the DataViz Email program and PicturesToGo for another 200K+. I liked the email program, but ended up nuking it. It didn't seem to have dial-up ability and was only used to sync with your regular email client. I liked the attachment ability, but really needed the dial-up ability, so it wasn't worth it to me. Right now, I don't really use spreadsheets, but I may install that app and try it later. May as well, since I bought the whole thing.
