I got to play with one today. It is a hell of a Palm pilot. It's a lot smaller and thinner than I thought it would be. Speed is excellant, and it just felt right in your hands.

I would have bought one right then and there, but I have to ask you guys a couple of questions first.

I currently have an NX73, and I use it heavily for work and play. I can live without the keyboard.

However, I love being able to access wifi at my house, my girlfriend's house, my family's. I tried searching for SD wireless cards, but everything is geared towards PocketPC's. Some people over at PalmInfocenter believe there is some kind of conspiracy against Palm users.

Is there an ETA for this?

I also love watching movies on my Clie during moments of peace. Is there anything similar to Sony's Image Converter/Movie Player. Ive tried Kinoma, but the file size is just too big and the quality is not up to stuff.

Tried MMPlayer, also, but I could never get it working perfectly. What are your experiences with it. I'm looking for around the same file size and quality as my Sony's.

Also, has anyone tried to put Graffiti 1 on it? Is it possible?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm beginning to get an itch to upgrade.

They just released a WIFI card for the Zire some hopefully that is a sign of things to come but as of now np WIFI options for the Zodiac.

As good as the sony Image converter is the new version of MM Player is awesome and it works unbelievable on my T3 and Zodiac. Not sure hwat version you had but the trial software I had for MM Player sucked and did not become useful until I purchased the full version. Kinoma is a JOKE!!!!

As far a grafitti 1 sorry I do not know, I just got my Zodiac last Thursday and this thing is awesome!!

Thanks for the reply. Are you going to keep using the default launcher, or are you going to use something else, like zlauncher?

I ended up putting ZLauncher on my Zodiac. Mostly for the ability to handle the files and such.

I actually am going to stick with the default launcher, I think it works well with the analog stick

I had to got with the Zodiac2, I have a T3 and have used everything but 15MB of space si I did not want to have to send programs to my card. 128MB is unbelievable, I remember paying +$400 for my old Vx with 8MB a few years ago.

I can't say this enough, for video... SmartMovie > MMPlayer.

One of the new low-voltage SD WiFi cards is in beta compatibility testing for the Z, but looks good so far. Should be a WiFi solution for the Z by the end of the year, if not sooner.

Haven't tried SmartMovie, but I hear PocketDVD-Studio for Palm creates pretty decent AVI files for playback in mmplayer. The Matrix compressed down to a very watchable 140MB in the review I read.

Yes, you can retrofit the Z with Graffiti 1. After copying over the two files you'd copy to any other Garnet 5.2 device, there's one extra step on the Z. Open Graffiti_Library.prc in Filez and edit the properties. Change the Version ID to 525 or higher, save and soft reset. The three boxes of G2 will still be there, and the top (caps) box is unpredictable, but the lowercase (shift still works normally) and numeric boxes work fine with G1.

All in all, the Zodiac is what the Clie always should have been.
