View Full Version : Coming Soon...
Well Folks, I was just browsing the Nokia International site, specifically their U.K. site (since their U.S. site is always behind) and they have a new phone coming out soon. The nokia 6260 check it out.

I think this will be a tough competition for the Treo 600 smartphone and other smartphones out there.
What do you think?

I read the article about this unit over at Brighthand and was impressed.
Symbian OS has a way to go, but the hardware and form factor made me take notice.
It's a neat unit, and they're trying to give it a useable suite of applications built in.
I'll be watching Symbian to see where it goes.

It's a nice little phone, but..........It's gotta have the Palm OS....... that's what attracted me to the Platform in the first place. The Palm OS has loads of software, far beyond anything else... I'd take Treo anyday before the Nokia.

One poor phone (again) from nokia, becose :
-it will run on symbian os
-6 MB built-in phone memory
-Battery BL-4C, 760 mAh Li-Ion (very small)
-poor 176 x 208 pixels screen (you can't see anything) (compare to sony clie th55 screen)
And anyway the new style is from sony clie pda devices, so those NOKIA ****ERS steals sony idea...

I don't foresee any free software and games coming out for it.

There are tons of free software out for Nokia Series 60. Not as much as Palm OS, but still quite a bit. Just check out www.my-symbian.com

What is Interesting ?
Well thanks for the replies folks.
Sorry I couldn't reply sooner, went to "Yellowstone National Park" in Wyoming. BTW for those of you who think there is a possibility to enter heaven after your demise I strongly suggest to visit the park before your untimely departure, as it is probably the next best thing to heaven. This way you'll know your way up and about once you're permitted to enter the real one.
May you all live a 110 happy years.
Cheers,
Ardy
