I recently sent my NZ in for extended warranty repair of the defective screen and it works great. I also finally got a BT phone, a Sony Ericsson Z600. That coupled with the NZ makes for great internet access anywhere I can get a signal, with unlimited data minutes on T-Mobile for $20 per month. Sweet.

I don't think my NZ is going to get replaced anytime soon. There just isn't anything else out there that looks promising right now. While I could dump the NZ for the TH55, I'd lose the BT, the better camera and the flash, not to mention the CF slot.

I have the NZ set up just the way I need it now. With ZLauncher I have no memory issues and with BT and unlimited data I have connectivity. This thing's a keeper... I may need to look for a spare incase this one goes south on me.

Tony, how does ZLauncher help with memory issues? As you can see, I've had my NZ90 for a very long time and am not using it to it's full capabilities. :o

Paula:

It helps in that it allows me to run my apps from the memory stick so that
I can free up RAM. As long as I have about 4 MB, I'm okay... Check it out on Palmgear.com. It's only $12 and way worth it.

Contact your phone service provider. Make certain that you have a data plan available. You will probably need help with a tech to walk you through the setup so that you have the proper "back door number" to get in to your provider.

This is what I had to do. I was not able to do it on my own. The T-Mobile tech was very helpful and walked me through the process very quickly.

Good Luck!

Data plan from service provider I hadalready got, but still don't work. In Evening when try to setup again, connection can established but can't browsed. I really confused, because T68i running well with my pc via B.T, but didn't with my clie NZ90.
for you information, I used to connect internet via gprs modem.
Thanks.

I got a diffrient problem. i am using a NZ , BT phone and a BT laptop. It really exciting to conect each of them together by BT. but my problem is I can't transfer files from my laptop to NZ by BT. it is strange because i can sync NZ with laptop by BT.
everything is ok but file transfer. So my temporary solution is transfer files to phone first by BT first, then transfer to NZ. Anybody know what's the problem?

The orginal poster, Tony is abs. correct. The nz90 is such a perfect tool when set up with the right software. I mean, it replaced my laptop! Sweet. Now, not to just glow in the joy that is nz90 ownership, I would like to know how you faired with bluetooth versus the wifi card (if you've used it). I know how great the bluetooth works with proper phones, is the wifi card even worth it if you have a setup like yours? (unlimited phone minutes)

Hi, Tony - I'm here in Seattle and have exactly the same config as you (my provider is Cingular). I purchased a refurb NZ90; and I'm trying to set it up w/BlueTooth to my phone.

Before I applied any of the updates from Sony, everything APPEARED to be working, but I couldn't get either device to recognize the other. Since I applied the BlueTooth upgrades and Mobile Connection Manager, when I try to start BlueTooth (from Prefs), I see 'unable to intialize Bluetooth Hardware'; and when I try to activate the profile, I get a 'Library Error'.

Anyone else seen this?

Is it time for a trip back to Sony?

Thanks in advance!

No, it's time to call T-Mobile and have them walk you through the setup step-by-step, deleting the prior associations that don't work, etc.

That's what I had to do. I'm assuming you have a T-Mobile data plan. Just call 611 and tell them that you need to speak to a person that knows how to connect a Palm PDA to a Sony BT phone. I managed to get a girl that knew about the NZ90 and also knew of the Z600, even though TM doesn't sell it here (only in Europe.)

Good luck. BTW I managed to get a WL100 CF WiFi card, so now I can surf the wem on my NZ at Starbucks or on my home WiFi network.

Technology is wonderful when it works...

Well, I'm actually a Cingular customer; and no one there has ever heard of either an NZ90 OR a Z600. Oh, well.

In any case, I got out a Frequency Counter and could not see the NZ90 transmitting; but could see the BT dongle on my laptop and the Z600, so I'm pretty sure it the BT module on the NZ90 was dead - so, back it went.

I'll let you know what happens....
