When will this device be available in the US market?

Perhaps end of March based upon Ed's translation and the NX launch.

You mean I have to wait that long? :)
What about the NZ90 that I am yet to receive from Sonystyle? :)
All kidding aside let me ask you this...
Whats the best thing to do:
1 Preorder?
2 Dell.com?
3 Wait until it hits the retail stores?

I personally want to see one in a store so I can try it out in person. Then I will look for the best price.

I do not even think Dell has them listed yet. They just recently listed the NZ a bit over a week ago.

I would wait until someone orders a Japanese version and reviews it. Some have even ordered the Jpn version while traveling abroad from the states. So, some type of review with more hands on and pictures should occur soon. You cannot order the english version yet anyways, unless you are in or traveling to Japan. Then you will find yourself in the same mess as the NX'ers who ordered jpn versions of the NX and they did not exactly work with the english version and flashing them was a pain too (you saw them on ebay quickly after the english version arrived). Wait a week or two (maybe three).

From my sources, the release date is set between Mar. 21st and April 1st. I sure hope it is soon, because I'm growing dang tired of using my backup SJ20's B&W screen! I sold my primary PDA, an SJ30, so I could get part of the money for the TG50. I even sold my brand new GBA SP to get the TG50 (BTW - GBA SP has SAME SCREEN as the T|T, and same associated problems)! Please, Sony, release this thing around the end of March in the 'States! I need my color PDA!

I have a feeling that once thisis released, you will see sales of the NZ drop dramatically. Its Ugly, OverPriced and Oversized. This new TG looks lo=ike a work of art.

I do agree that the thing looks nice and sleek, but my only problem with it is that there is no silk or vg area. I don't agree with a 320x320 screen size. hires+ makes all the big difference to me

You've never seen nor touched an NZ, that much is obvious.

why so accusatory? in my opinion, the NZ series is beautiful, but huge. if i wasn't so accustomed to carrying my 615 in my pocket everywhere, it would tempt me very strongly-- the NZ series won't die because the TG50 is aimed at a different consumer audience, those that want the functionality of the NZ but the size of the 665.

I thought long and hard about getting the NZ90, but I realized for me it is too big. I really need something that is pocketable. I tried out an NX70V for a while, but despite loving it I kept leaving it behind when I went places because for me, it was too large. I need a pocketable PDA, and from everything I've seen the TG50 fits me perfectly. I cannot wait to see some reviews on the English version of it.

The NZ was announced in the US first and then after a few weeks was released in Japan...

Um, these two devices will be in different categories. Many people who want an NZ won't buy the TG instead...only those who aren't sure what to buy may be swayed to get the TG instead.

I believe for those who have chosen NZ90 is due to the 2MP camera, and those like compact/mobile will definitely go for TG50. Therefore the targeted buyers for both are totally different, but for one thing for sure, the moeny will goes into the same pocket (SONY).
