does underclocking the nz90 increases battery life?

lightspeed and pxaclocker are popular programs used to underclock
lightspeed does it better though at 33mhz, while pxaclocker is 100

I've used underclocking to extend MP3 playback maybe an extra hour. It does weird things though if you are using background mp3 playing and try to use another app. The grafiti lags behind for example. I've had better battery life extension when using a different MP3 player than the built in one (using the hacked audio drivers from cliepet? )
