WHAT ? From th55 to zire 72, I don't agree with you. I just come from Florida with my new clie th55 and quite big 512mb memory stick pro and case and it is best bought what i'm ever made. I first bought zire 72 with 512mb ultra 2 sd and then there was so many bad suprises that i change it to clie th55 with 512mb memory stick pro because :
-zire 72 don't support 512mb sd Ultra 2 memory card...
-zire 72 don't have nothing special inside rom like in clie th55 for example netfront, picsel viewer, movie player...
-zire 72 takes terrible pictures inside (house)...
-zire 72 don't have good battery life or big screen resolution...
-zire 72 video recording don't run so good (you must do slow moves)
-with zire 72 you can listen music only 5-7 hours with backlight off and with clie th55 you can listen music ONLY 20-25 hours with backlight off...
So only what you can get from zire 72 if we compare to clie th55 is better picture quality outside, 5-way navigator and 312mhz processor...
But anyway, everyone have their own opinion, but i don't agree with you..
But if you want new device i recommend clie nx80 or something like that with also 1.3 mega-pixel camera...

I want the bluetooth, the better camera, and the Real one player. Realone doesn't work on clies. The TH55 with BT is too damned much! And the camera is just a bonus...

I just bought a Zire 72 and I really like it. I have already taken one back though because of a screen whine and some other issues, this new one seems better except for a "fatal exception" and then the battery drains and the unit self resets, other than that I love the Zire 72. The screen is absolutley beautiful, I like to be able to take pictures and instantly apply them as a backdrop, Sony TH55 does not do this. I was going to sell my TH55 but now my daughter has taken it over and has turned into an instant star with the movie recorder (I put this on from my other apps, Sony did not include this in the TH55). I like the form and fit of the new Zire, the camera and movie recorder are ok, better outside. I think the Sony is nice but too compicated, I want something simple. Isn't is funny how I (38yrs old) prefer the simple PDA while my daughter (8yrs old) prefers the complicated one??? She won't let me sell it. I am waiting for her to get tired of it, but that hasen't happended yet. Good thing I have a Best Buy warranty on it huh?
I consider my TH55 an experiment-in-progress. For example, I can put backgrounds by using AppShelf and take and save movies using Movie Player. But I got tired of those apps because I prefer a plain white background and I don't really take movies using the TH55.
Now Bluetooth is a different matter. With Salling Clicker and the Powerbook, I can use my TH55 as a remote for iTunes, DVD Player, and Keynote/Powerpoint. I can also quickly install apps by sending them through Bluetooth from the desktop to the TH55. Through the phone, I can send and receive text messages. Lastly, when I sync through Bluetooth, the TH55 syncs with the Powerbook, the Sony Ericsson T610, and my .mac account.
It's a fun experiment all together :D

The European model of the TH55 has Bluetooth as well as wi-fi. Check out www.expansys.com.
