i reallly need a keyboard for my palm, anyone have any luck with keyboards, which ones actually work, which ones do u have and they dont lag do they?

Oh yeah, that Targus Universal IrDA Keyboard- it folds up to the NZ90's size, opens out to a full laptop size, the keys are responsive and have a good 3mm travel. Typing on it is beautiful. Nice to save the silkscreen (even when you use apps like Graffiti Anywhere) when you type up long docs etc.

Due to the swiveling IrDA arm on the keyboard you can use it such that the NZ90 sits in the Targus's cradle , or you can have the NZ90 lying flat on your worksurface.

All in all that is a wicked kewl keyboard and I'd recommend it to anyone :)

zamanakhan, go with the super foldable Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard.
Superior perfomance, combined with ultra sleek design.
There is also a wireless/bluetooth keyboard & mouse driver available on Palmgear.

The advantage of Bluetooth over IR is obvious.
No need to install the CLIE in a bulky craddle just to be able to type.
Of course you need a CLIE with bluetooth to utilize that. :D

Does the Bluetooth Stowaway have drivers for PalmOS so it will work with the bluetooth TH55?

I've read that Palm OS drivers for the BT Stowaway will only come out at the end of the year.

Anyway, you can save money if you just buy the "normal" Stowaway with the Clié connector for not more than $30.

3rd party bluetooth keyboard and mouse drivers for the CLI are available at Palmgear and I don't think I'd like a keyboard solution that would force me to balance the quite heavy NZ90 on a slim plastic clip or else ...

isn't there an adaptor for PS/2 keyboards? that would be really nice :) or a driver for the Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard. What about _real_ full-size keyboards, guys :D

The Stowaway Bluetooth keyboard is a real full sized keyboard.
And its foldable and ultra-slim, too.

Just a little note, if you use the bluetooth keyboard, it'll tie up your Clie's bluetooth, so you can't use it for other things.

Eg, I have my computer on the ground floor, and I live 2 floors up (nearly directly up) and my NZ90 talks to the 'net via the computer on the ground floor via a bluetooth network. With this setup I can use Aol Instant Messenger etc (with my Targus IR universal keyboard, cuz I type so much faster than I graffiti- even with Text anywhere and other shortcut data input apps).

If I had a bluetooth keyboard I coudn't use AIM with the bluetooth keyboard *and* connect to the net via bluetooth at the same time- it'd have to be one or the other.

I know it's prolly obvious, but I just wanted to point it out.

That's true, but if I'm typing notes in class, I don't think I'd be syncing via bluetooth to my laptop or surfing the net with my cell phone via bluetooth connection.

I do the typing and surfin' with my IR keyboard via bluetooth and my fone after class!!! :)

Same here. In class, I pay attention. Listen here all, if you are a student, surfing the net on your PDA via bluetooth cell phone does not take precedence over the lecture / lesson! :)

Just make sure you wait till the money cooled off enough that it doesn't betray its origin once you start shopping PDA :)
