Is there any way i can listen to internet radio / online music using netfront 3.0 ? or any other application ? I tried but couldnt. Is Netfront 3.1 any better in this respect? If there is any other thread that discusses similar issue, please help me find it. thanks

Hmmm, I'm a T3 user and therefore have WebPro, but I use it with Pocket-tunes to listen to Shoutcast stations works reasonably well, dependant on your Internet connection. Basically Pocket-tunes is exchange manager aware as is WebPro, so when I click on a station while browsing shoutcast, Pocket-tunes picks it up and plays it. I imagine it would be the same with NetFront ( just a guess ),

It doesnt user your internet browser with shoutcast does it? If not then no matter what it is you use, it wont matter. Also, may I ask that if shoutcast pick up radio signal? If yes, do you need the internet or just Wifi? Also does it pick up US station frequencies only or Canadians too, or dont matter?

Yea actually the "browser" does not play the tune per se, Pocket-tunes just see's that you have clicked on a link (.pls file) and then plays it, so the browser is just a selector, if you know the URL off the top of your head you can type it into PT directly. So yes you do need an internet connection be that wifi, or BT via PC (what I do), as for stations ya need to just have a look at what www.shoutcast.com has to offer, there are other sources as well, and even some "normal" Radio stations stream there stuff this way

Hope that helps!

Perhaps your favourite station is does not stream their content, there are however aprox. 140 rap/HH listing there.

Is there a way to turn an existing non pls radio station to give an address and play off that? www.thebeat.com - Vancouver (local) station with a nice combination of good urban and not just rap.

I don't really know, I doubt that there is anything we "pda owners" can do, probably b up to the Radio station if they wanted to support that, and since they already do in a different manner they might not care to entertain the idea, You could always ask them

Yah, I sent an email, waiting for respond. Hey, if it ever gets up you guys should check it out. Urban aint as bad you might think and with TheBeat you get the newest and the best.

That's because the station that you are listening to has the bit rate set too high for your pda. That's mostly because of your connection speed, but also because I doubt that any pda has a large enough buffer. I run my high school's radio station and since we are not able to get a license just yet, we have resorted to using shoutcast (although through a different program called SAM3 by URL=http://www.spacialaudio.com]spacialaudio.com[/URL]) We're are under construction right now, but if you want to listen in, we have an automatic DJ playing.

Hi Harry,

If you are looking for help, have you tried searching on 'Shoutcast' yet? You will find all the help you need this way. Searching for your own answers should be your first course of action everytime. Most of this stuff was covered many, many months ago.

Try this: Xiino 3.4.1E

full screen on UX, FAST, big font size options, "find" on page, 604K in size, supports "https", save text of website into the memo pad,

http://www.mobirus.com

Works with PocketTunes, the only difference is that it won't open PTunes automatically - the URL is transferred but you have to quit Xiino manually and open PTunes but it works fine!
