Can that webcam app be used via wireless? that would be really cool as some shots are not possible via a cable bound video.

it works, and the picture is of course great, but whatta pain to try and aim out the window or anywhere other than facing up in the cradle.

There is a program caled spystillcam that can stream video over wireless. You should be abble to download it at http://www.aibohack.com/clie/SpyStillCam21.zip . This program sends realtime pictures to your pc. Then you can capture those pictures with a special program that let you use the cam as webcam. just do a google search for this.

Also, is there any way to default the port number to something other than 80 and designate a domain name rather than an IP address for the stream on the internet?

With Palm Webcam you can use any Windows based capture software to capture the video stream. Try AMCAP ( http://noeld.com/programs.asp?cat=video ) or Windows Movie Maker ( comes with Win XP).

You can use a domain name with the help of services available from www.no-ip.com and others. The next version of Palm Webcam will let you set default settings / save your settings between sessions.

If you're looking for software to capture video that's being displayed on the Windows desktop, check out a program called Camtasia Recorder... google it.
