This seems like a simple task, and I thought I had done this a couple years ago, but now I find myself without a solution...
I have an excel file with schedule information in it. Dates in one column, start times in the next, end times, event name, etc. I'd like to get this info into my Clie (Agendus to be exact) but I can import only vCal files or Datebook archives.
Does anyone have an idea for me?
Thanks much to all.

Currently there are only 2 apps that have support for excel files, Docs-to-Go and Quickoffice. I don't think either of these will get you any closer to gettting the files to datebook though. So you are going to have to use a desktop app to convert the excel file to something usable by the datebook. Agendus for Desktop is the only thing I can think of that might help you. Maybe someone else knows of a converter because I haven't heard of anything.

I didn't try it myself, but I saw somewhere you can import *.csv files (save the excel file as *.csv and then import) to your desktop software.

rhart, I've been trying to do the conversion at the desktop already, either importing into palm desktop or Agendus for Windows. Neither will take a comma delimited or other "generic" format as a file.
They will take .csv files, but excel doesn't export them. And .csv files have header/tail info that I'm not familiar with, so at this point I can't create a text file and add the appropriate stuff.

I have done this with excel and contacts, exporting the contacts in a spreadsheet as a delimited file and then importing into outlook. I believe you can do the same for dates, but this is off course untested. try these steps which I'm rattling of the top of my head.
In excel make sure your cloumns are standard (ie date in one column, title in another and so on) then go to file / save as and pick tab separated values.
Go to outlook and then click on file / import. Import from another program. Choose tab delimited, and then I think your prompted to map your fields. This is wehre you pick your fields and what they map to in outlook.
This of course assumes you have outlook. I don't know anyway to do this in palms desktop

Can't vouch for this personally, but you could try DIMEX (http://linkesoft.com/dimex/) .
