what's wrong with my tj35?

when i turn on the backlight, the battery goes down 1% every second.
however, when i turn it off, the battery goes up back to 100%

yesterday, i turned on the backlight and then turn off the machine (without turning off the backlight first). i couldn't turn on the machine after a few hours.
i reset the machine and it went back. i found that the battery was down to 38%!

i didn't see this problem a few days ago.
i have not applied the last patch yet. does it help?

if you are using a launcher, then that could be your problem...try it without using any launcher

There have been lots of TJ35 backlight problems, even a recall at one point. Someone said it was because of a short on the motherboard, caused when you plug in a set of headphones, damaging the backlight circuit. Sometimes this causes the backlight not to work at all, and sometimes just runs your battery dead quickly when the backlight is on. I'd contact Sony Support.
