I FINALLY got up the nerve to send in my NZ to have the defective screen fixed. It suffered from the dreaded skipping that plagues some of the NZ screens in the alpha area of the screen when in tablet mode. It had gotten progressively worse to the point that even with Grafitti Anywhere the situation was unbearable...
I have the extended warranty from Circuit City. After spending 30 minutes on the phone with tech support, a repair was ordered and the box came a few days later. I dropped my NZ (fully backed up on a Treo 90) at FedEx on a Friday and received it back the following Friday. Great turnaround.
I was careful to use an overlay to illustrate where the problem was on the screen. They replaced the screen and applied a Sony screen protector, which, while not the greatest, has no bubbles, so I'll use it 'til it wears off...

My NZ is still under warranty, as of late I have noticed that the swivel pivot is begining to loose which further causes the screen to appear lopsided...I would only hope that the turnaround is as fast as yours was.

It all depends on where you purchased your NZ...
They might say that a loose pivot is *normal wear and tear*. In my case, I was able to demonstrate a well-known defect.
I am very GLAD however, that the screen was covered under the warranty and that the used unit I purchased came with an extended warranty. I was worried that it wouldn't transfer or that some other issue would come up that would negate it, but in the end, I'm very pleased.
Good luck!

My swivel pivot is begining to loose too: any suggestions on how to fix it ? :(
My case is worse: I bought the NZ 90 from a friend's friend...so no warranty at all. If you can send me some address to a screen repair....

I have not heard of a way to fix it, however, you MIGHT be able to swivel the screen 90 degrees and shim the outer-most plastic screen supports that are on the camera body. There is a small screw that marks the location of each of these. Try starting with a small piece of Scotch Tape first; add layers as needed.
DO NOT shim the two aluminum "bumps" closest to the swivel. These are the electrical contacts for the screen.
