K, this is Third unit. Its on the charger. when I sync it up for the first time, it will dump over all my stuff back to the unit right? What happens if Sony updated this unit? Will it dump back old sony programs over the new versions?
Also, what if I just want to sync the calender function and address?
can I just do that?

Assuming you are using the same software and setup from your previous NZ, look in the backup folder of your Sony Handheld folder in your personal folder. I doubt Sony would have updated anything from its previous NZ cd-rom, however if you are worried about it just review the backup folder and change whatever you want so it wont back that up. Afterwards just put old stuff in the archive folder if you think you might change your mind.

Starstreak, is there a little black cloud following you around? You're really having some lousy luck with this thing. I hope you get a good one this time 'round. I've had nothing but good luck with mine, even got the battery up to nine hours

Another way is to open the sync icon and choose custome and turn off what you do not want synced... ps... my NZ is stuck at 5h 12 min... wish I could get it higher... it does last all day at work...

:(
Mine is stuck between 5:11 & 5:22 for total battery time as well. Maybe they will release a higher capacity battery, like my cel phone has. The standard batter with it lasts maybe 1/2 day, but with the extended one, it goes for 1-2 days.

Have you ran the battery down, way down, then charged it full again? My battery was around 5:50, I ran it down to nothing, charged it and it was up over 7hrs. All with BT, backlight 50%

yup did that on my first two units. no difference. Just got done charging. unplugged it and I have 5:10min. installed a bunch of apps(with it unplugged from ac) and played with BT all for a total of 10mins. I'm at 97% power.

mine didn't reach that high a number until I drained it completely several times (like four or five) and then left it in the cradle overnight after each, I think it's a continuing process.

Sorry, reach what numbers? 10+hours or higher than 5 hours? Also, Just me speaking, I hope Sony doesn't exspect us to keep draining this unit just to keep the higher life time..
