Datebook 5 instructs you, in pimlico´s official manual, to use both Lefty and LeftHack in order to fix the "slide" to be on the left side.
LeftHack instructs you, at their official site, to use HackMaster.
Now, there´s a problem. HackMaster is "obsolete", in effect discontinued, I gather..
So, X-master should do it, I reasoned.
Well, Lefty (stand-alone prg) works fine.
LeftHack, though, activated in X-Master, works only as long as you don´t
exit DateBook 5! (..hardly an option...:-)

Anybody with the same experience, and possibly a solution?

Ah! I had begun to think my T625C had some odd hardware fault, since everyone I've spoken to so far seemed to think my experience was unique.

Fatal exceptions when you return to the Clie main menu, right?

Can't offer a solution yet. And it seems to happen in other applications than Datebook 5 - so I'm not convinced it's Steuart Dewar's problem (he reckons it isn't).

I'm in the middle of a long series of clean reinstalls and step-by-step rebuilds to try and isolate exactly when this conflict shows up. If Sony or anyone else comes up with anything I'll re-post.

LeftHack is not compatable with the Clies. I wrote the developer a while back and he didn't seem too enthused about updating it. So it will not work still. Lefty works good, but it doesn't do as much.

What a relief! Delete the hack, don´t give it another thought,
it´s not gonna work no matter what you do!
