is the MathLib file that Mobipocket installs when first installing the program necessary to use the mobipocket application? i guess i'm a little confused as to what this partuclar file does. if anyone could enlighten me that would be great.

I know it's needed, I don't know why. Additionally the same file is used for some other apps, like one of the caculators, sort of like s DLL file.

is it only needed for the calculators you can download for use with mobipocket reader, do you know? the only reason i'm curious is that it's a rather large file, and i'm just curious what it does.

its a library containing mathematical functions.

I wouldn't dont delete it if i were you, but i would.
it depends on what you have on your system.

Large file? I thought it was only about 50K. I know it's needed for several apps. You can always temporarily move it to your memory stick in an out of the way folder and then see what happens. Just don't delete it right away and be sorry later. Hope that helps :)
