Can anyone tell me what the WiFi Card used for?

wifi cards are used to connect to a wifi base to conenct to the net.

Why would you use one? Dont know what you would use it for but I use it for any task I need that requires an IP address - wireless access to email (CLIEMail), wireless access to http (Netfront), wireless hotsync (umm, Hotsync).

It allows me to have freedom. I am still able to retrieve emails and surf the net, even from my pillow:).
