I purchased the wifi card and would love to use it in my laptop as well. I have one of those CF card adaptoers. Where is the driver that will allow me to do this?

Check the Intel site for Intel PRO/WIRELESS 2011b LAN CF Card

Make sure that the file name is "2011_2011b_cd_3.0.exe" and is 39.0MB in size.

So, it *is* possible for the Sony WiFi WL100 card designed for the Clie to be used in a laptop ?

In addition, can you provide a URL as I searched for "Intel PRO/WIRELESS 2011b LAN CF Card" and it doesn't provide for a file download of 39.0 mb as suggested by 'thinker' ...

Go here http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/Product_Filter.asp?ProductID=450 and select your OS to get the driver. Note that the file mentioned above is not the latest version and that there is a different file if you are using XP.

The XP base driver is only 541kb in size. I can't tell you where as the file was sent to me. Captainao's link will take you there.
