View Full Version : I returned the NZ90 for NX70V

I guess I couldn't justify spending that much on a PDA, especially since I have a very tiny 3 mp camera already. But, I also want to take spy pictures, especially of the girls at the health club when I go. When I tried doing that with the NZ90, the flash accidentally went off and everbody was giving me a strange look. Even without the flash, the camera is very noticeable. My thoughts about the NX70 compared with NZ90...much easier to carry around, obviously. But the screen isn't nearly as bright and the keyboard isn't that good. Oh well, I hope the NZ90 isn't the upgrade to the NX70V. I hope we'll see the next NX with built in wifi, more ram, better speaker, and brighter.

I interpreted the original post as saying he wishes there's another device in the NX form factor, but with the extra things added. That is most definitely not the NZ, since the NZ has a slightly different form factor and doesn't have all the things he wanted.

So what was your point?

The original post said "I hope the NZ90 is not the upgrade to the NX70V" followed by a wish list that is very close to the NZ90.

Well, the NZ90 IS the upgrade to the NX70V.

That was my point ;)

The wish list wasn't that close to the NZ; 2 of the 4 points are not in the NZ. The NZ has built-in bluetooth, but NOT built-in Wifi. And it doesn't have any more RAM than the NX. And finally, from the rumors that are out, the NZ is NOT the upgrade to the NX; it sounds as if there will be at least one more NX model released. The NZ is too much of a niche product to be the top-end Clie.

[heh heh]

The NZ90 is the upgrade to the NX70, the camera proves it. You just have to spend the bling for the wifi and 128 meg stick, a case, some stylii, an extra cradle, two spares batteries and you're set...Completely upgraded from the nx70..

But I DO wish that cam rotated in the 90 like it does in the 70...dooooooooooh...that will be in the upgraded NW95 model which will, most likely include wifi, biometrics, infrared and standard camera, and of course bluetooth...Oh,,,and it will be powered by none other than the infamous dilithium crystals....so it's GREEN and eco friendly....

sigh...now beam us all up to a place where SOME manufacturer can build this for a reasonable price without GOUGING all of us........

My point was that the nz really is in its own market...i want a lighter model' which you can take hidden pictures have a very bright screen more ram and built in wifi. The NZ doesn't have all this.

I personally think you are sick for taking pics of girls without their knowledge. But I guess that is another subject in itself. If you knew the NZ did not have all of the above, why did you buy it?

Not many standalone cameras swivel. Getting an entire 2MP cam into the hinge is already a minor miracle. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't wait, though -- it's definitely your right to wait until it's a reality. The NX is still an excellent PDA.

Some people don't like the NZ's size and price. However, I beleive that it is an excellent pda, but only for some, not for all. I personally think that the NX is ideal for many, but the TG50 will make the most amt of people happy IMO

I found one crucial thing that stopped me from getting the NZ. It's LCD's contrast ratio is noticeably worse than my NX. The pics lost some image definition because of it. :(

I really wanted that big sonova***** too....

Hmmm...I find the contrast ratio rather excellent for a LCD screen. Everything from Dixie Chick rips to Zeppelin to even my twisted taste of porn ( i like it with their clothes on and no sex...just talking about MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING) looked pretty darn good, though not quite up to my Sharp PLV70 LCD projector in my home theatre, but uhm, it will do just fine. Actually, I too liked the look of the NX70 better, but the 90 just had it with 2 MP and bluetooth, which I have bought usb adapters for. Everyone at work has it too, so I guess I didnt really NEED one. I just wanted one..lol..in reality it IS heavier and thicker than the 70..no argument there...but extra oomp in the camera and bluetooth made it for me...GPS would have had me kick in another 100 or so, but I already have that in the travel car so.....

That is quite odd because I have both an NX and an NZ and the NZ's screen is not only brighter but has better contrast. I'd look at another NZ and make sure the brightness set to high.

mm YEAH good point, because I used mine on the standard factory setting for a week b4 i found the icon to change it. I never really looked for it because I thought it looked pretty good, even as dim as it was set. But when I moved it to medium high..wow what a difference,.,,
Good catch there pstoppani!!!!!
