Can the Zodiac play some of the different Game Emulators that exist for the Palm? Are there some that are recommended better than others? Also can the Zodiac run normal Palm software?

Thaks for the info.

Yes, several emulators wok well on the Zodiac.

CaSTaway/Palm - Atari ST emulator
Xcade - classic arcade game emulator
NesEm - Nintendo NES emulator
Gizmo/Ultra - Sega Master System & GameGear emulator
DreamEngine - TurboGrafx-16/PC-Engine emulator
Firestorm gbaZ - Gameboy/Gameboy Color/Gameboy Advance emulator

Thi is the short list, there are more. I got most of this info from www.zodiacgamer.com You should check them out.

Most normal Palm software works for the Zodiac very well. There are few that don't take advantage of the buttons layout or the wide screen but most do.

Everything that would normally run on the Palm OS will still run on the Zodiac... I use NesEM on my Nx60 and i love it so i can only immagine it will be about 1000000 times better on my (future) Zodiac.

Just be aware - the GBA portion of Firestorm hasn't been released yet.

I believe Firestorm released it as "open source."

Unfortunately Firestorm Gbaz only supports GB and GBC (with GBA promised) and it appears that the whole thing is still very much a commercial product. Check their website www.crimsonfire.com for more info.

Ah, thanks bohica. I don't have any of the Firestorm stuff on my Zodiac so I haven't kept up with the little details. Good to know!
