I have no problems downloading mail via my GPRS bluetooth connection, but no matter what I try I cannot seem to send mail. Always creates an error 504 or something similiar, seems to have security problems or something, but changing all of the various settings seems to make no difference. I have tried a variety of web mails but cannot send from any of them.
This is really frustrating - cannot even get MS Outlook to work either for POP3 accounts. It's driving me mad, why can I receive but not send mail - I have followed all the instructions but to no avail.
I have my TG50 doing everything I want now - apart from sending email from CLie mail.
Any ideas anyone?

Are you saying you cannot send email from even Outlook on your PC?
I am guessing there is some sort of authentication or security that you're not setting up correctly. Is this your work email? Is there any directions you have that you can post here? (without account details of course)

For seding mails using SMTP, there are several authentication methods:
1. using ISP's connection (SMTP server will check IP address), in such case, you must using that ISP's connection for sending e-mails in that ISP's SMTP server.
2. POP before SMTP, no matter which connection are you using, you just need to login POP3 server (check mail) before send.
3. SMTP authentication. You need to enter your userid & password for sending e-mail.
4. For some special cases, some ISPs will have another SMTP server for users who are using 3rd-party's connections. You need to refer to ISP's user guide for settings and authentication method.
Better to ask ISP's TS for details of SMTP. This is not a problem in CLIE Mail....
