Size difference between nx70 and 80?

I have a nx70 and im considering upgrading. But i heard that the 80 is a lot thicker than the nx70?

It's alot BETTER and just a tad bit thicker I think (you really have to measure them side to side). I have only played with the 70 and never did like it because it's so LONG. The NX is shorter, upgrade you won't regret it buddy.

if you open the CF slot on the 80, yes it is thicker
but you get a whole lot more than the 70
and the 80 is shorter than the 70

and looks nicer

The only downside switching from 70 to 73 or 80 is the cf-slot.
On the 70 it's always there and has quite some physically strength, on the 73/80 the slot is retractable and get's defective much easier.
I would love a nx73/80 with a cf-slot like the 70 ;)

I have a NX60 and have just bought a NX80V. I have a Vaja case for the NX60 which I really like but Vaja don't seem to make a case for the NX80V. Anybody know if the dimensions of the two are similar enough so I can retain my case to use? I don't case about the CF slot being retractable and having no provision for that

Yup..i am missing the robust construction of CF Slot for NX70V too, and I feel the position of MS at NX70v is perfectly placed at the top, not like NX80V on the right side which make MS bluetooth card placement so akward, and not forget to mention too is the construction material for NX70V is much better than NX80V, which is difficult to be scratched, unlike NX80V which easier to be damaged even if it is covered up by Krussel case (I don't blame the case as the construction materisl for NX80V is purely plastic.....)

well,,, you can feel the difference when you switch to NX80, your hand will more comfortable with it. :)

Are you saying the NX80V is made of plastic? The Sony web site says elegant magnesium casing? My NX60 seems to be made of some kind of metal - certainly it's fairly robust
