I'm sure it's something I've done wrong but I just tried installing Zlauncher onto my NX80V and it crashes immediately, offers a reset button, which doesn't work, and when I use the Clie reset button I get stuck at the first screen and get the error message;
MemoryMgr.c,Line:3564
NULL handle
..... RESET
I installed Zlauncher 4.1 to the Clie internal RAM. Everything was working fine until I installed Zlauncher and once I deleted it by using File Manager it all works fine again. Any ideas what might be causing this?

I should just add that I deleted ZL from the NX80V, re-installed several times, always with the same result. ZL just doesn't seem to like my NX80V for some reason!

I got the same thing. Oh well, fuggit. I am apparently in the minority but I like Clie Launcher + SkinLauncher just fine.

Hmmm, the only time ZLauncher crashes my NX80 is when I try to launch DAMemopad with it. DAMemopad works fine using other DA Launchers and ZLauncher launches my other DAs without any problems. Any other time ZLauncher works flawlessly.
Could it be that you're using a Theme not made for SONY_HR? It crashes when I try to use any other theme not specified for SONY.

Hi Sein,
I installed ZL and ZLT_AquawoodXP_SonyHR_64K.prc to internal RAM. I don't get the opportunity to try anything, the NX80V crashes as soon as I turn it on.
Thanks, Joe

I rarely have a problem with zlauncher on my nx80. However, if my internal memory, (or external memory- if zlauncher is on the ms via powerrun), is less than 1 mb, I sometimes crash.

Currently I've got 4.3Mb available.

I suggest downloading another theme (with background images). Zlauncher is an excellent program - but it's very picky if you choose an incompatible theme or one that is corrupt.

Thanks bohica, I'll try downloading a different theme as you suggested. I also tried installing ZLManager and used it to remove all traces of ZL, including the preference file, re-installed ZL, crashed immediately. I even downloaded a fresh copy of ZL, just in case.
I'll try another theme and see what happens, although I'm rapidly getting to the point where I'm not sure it's worth it.
BTW, I have MegaLauncher 4.3 installed but I presume this shouldn't matter and that they can happily co-exist?
Thanks, Joe

Hi Joe - I'm not 100% on this, but assuming MegaLauncher and ZLauncher will be both attempting to execute to reskin the OS there may be a possible conflict.
One way to be sure you've removed Zlauncher completely is to use Uninstall Manager at www.northglide.com.
Good luck,
Mark.

ZLauncher used to crash my machine, but I backed it up, hard-reset, and everything was fine
I find that this solves a lot of my peoblems, not sure why, but it seems to...
Also, do you have MCA, because I noticed that MCA and Zlauncher crashed mine a bit more, until the hard-reset thingy

Hi Palmem,
I think I'm at the point where a hard reset may be my only option, very frustrating.
Thanks to everyone for your help and suggestions.

Just to let you guys know that I gave in last night and performed a hard reset. ZLauncher is now working fine. I've no idea what the problem was but thanks again for all your input and suggestions.
