NX80V keeps crashing

My NX80V keeps crashing--sometimes screen freezes, sometimes screen gets all messed up, sometimes won't turn on.

All Sony Support told me to do is perform soft and hard resets. But I can't be doing that 20 times a day.

Does someone have any advice as to what I can do? Thank you very much.

Has this been going on since you got it? Or did it start recently after installing a new application? Hard resets tend to indicate some kind of software conflict.

when you do a hard reset, does everything work perfectly?
if it does, then it is a program conflict
there is a simple but time consuming solution: reinstall everything
remove the backup hotsync folder from your computer, and start from scratch

takes a long time, but your clie will be cleaner and more stable that way

It just recently started crashing and it does work when I perform a hard reset (though sometimes not). I'm thinking and hoping it's some software conflict also. I was hoping to avoid having to reinstall everything but may just have to do it.

But would the culprit be newer installed apps then?
