OK... on my office computer, I have broadband access through the LAN. My Clie is connected to the PC through the USB cable. Given this setup, is there a way I can access the internet through the broadband connection to my PC?

Thanks,
Rob

You could attach a WIFI access point to the switch/router -- However, I don't think that your Office's network administrator would like that so much. You can connect to the internet through the sync cable, however that is rather pointless considering that your computer is sitting there right in front of you. Hmmm, the best choice of the right things to do would be to talk to someone in your companies IT department, and see if they will set something up for you.

How would I connect via the sync cable? My primary interest is in downloading some specific web bages to be accessible offline, as well as real-time syncing of some Avantgo channels, like Mapquest.

On a Mac, try The Missing Sync for Internet Sharing & Avantgo:

On a PC, try Softick PPP:

Softick PPP works great on Bluetooth also!

Pretty nifty program BTW.
