I've noticed the T68i has PIM functions (address (obviously), to-do, calender). Can I synch these with my NX so the phone has the same info on it without me typing it in?

Thats the question, now do you have the answer

You can synch MS Outlook with free software from the Sony Ericsson website. As far as PIM applications go, as far as I know you would need a 3rd party software app. called Xtend Connect.

See link below for details:

I just use the poor man's version of this by beaming contacts from my Clie to my T68i via the IR port. "Beam" is a menu option in the Clie adress book and it works like a charm. Full synch capability would be nice but it is a little pricey.

Hope this answers your question.

I tried beaming contacts to my brothers T300 and it worked fine (only name, ph numbers though but thats expected). What I wanted was to put my calender/to-do list (tasks) on the T68i without manually entering in all the data. (Cheap solutions prefered as i dont usually buy software (good ol shareware))

if you already sinc you clie via your pc then all you need is an infrared port on your pc and the sonyericson software to sync your whole outlook content

If you have a Mac, you can synch PIM (address and calendar info)on your computer, Clie and t68 all at once with Apple's free iSync software.

I just got my T68i and have used my NX to Beam Contacts to my T68i. It did work well om most of the entries, but you need to go back and double check on the numbers, on some of the entry types moved and the number stayed in place. In other words, some of the numbers that were tagged as "Home" got switched with "Mobile" numbers, ect.

I think that the T68i looks at the list of numbers from a Contact and accepts them as is and puts the first number on the list in the first position, regardless of whether that number belongs there, rather than observing that the number that is tagged as "Home" goes into the "Home" slot on the handset. I didn't follow the "Palm" format of listing on all of my Contacts, so this has caused a minor inconvenience. It's still way better than having to enter each Contact manualy or buying a Bluetooth Stick alon with a Bluetooth PC Card, I have no IR on my Laptop.

Oh, and by the way, my NX Beams to my T68i better than it will to another Palm OS Device. ;) This is appreciated under these circumstances only. The rest of the time this just seems all wrong.
