No, nor could I find anything on Sony's site. It would be nice if your friend had some info or where it was seen.

bcoutlander found this link containing info on the WL110
http://www.msjp.com/palm/ura01.html
He is guessing that it is for PocketPC's.
Maybe Sony is coming out with a PPC?

well, it says it works in type II CF slots, so....
but, from the reading material, I don't see much of a difference/advantage, do you?

That must be the reason why the prices for WL100 are going down!

Here's the babelfish translation of the page the n2ifp put in his post- Wireless LAN card " PEGA-WL110 "
With the Pocket PC and the Windows personal computer you use
Wireless LAN card " PEGA-WL100 " being the Pocket PC and to move with the Windows personal computer, it reports here.
When you look at the back of the PEGA-WL100, there is statement of the " Intel PRO/WIRELESS 2011b LAN CF Card ". Then, when the below-mentioned device driver is procured from the Intel home page, it succeeded in moving without problem.
* Pocket device driver for PC
Driver [ 2011B_WIN_CE.EXE ] (1860KB) Ver.4.0.1
* Windows device driver for personal computer
PRO Network Connection Software [ INTEL_CD_6.2.EXE ] (55902KB) Ver.6.2
To ahead procuring it jumps!
When you use with 3 products and you think of that you can turn, it is delightful enormously, don't you think? is.
Picture of Pocket PC. When the idea contest which is as under the right of the Today the tap is designated, you can verify communication circumstance.
* As for the method of introducing here being to be behavior outside manufacturer guarantee, just the person where self responsibility comes off please challenge. By any chance, it did not operate normally, assuming, the hardware was broken, the rabbit does not owe all responsibility.
If above, raises even a little to part of everyone, it is fortunate.

Usausa@msjp.comSo, my take is it looks like it was just a user talking about using the Sony Wifi card for PPCs or PCs, not that Sony was marketing it that way.
I wouldn't be surprised if the new card supported 802.11a and/or 802.11g in addition to 802.11b.

I did find that Compaq sells a WL110 card and/or could just have been a typo.

I noticed that the WL110 is advertised as being for the NZ as welll as the NX. Perhaps there is some minor tweak done to accommodate the NZ(?). I'd like to believe it's 802.11g compliance, though...

it looks like they are offering the same rebates on both products (100 & 110) see (http://www.datavis.com/webapp/commerce/command/ExecMacro/Datavision/macros/rebates.d2w/report?selectedManf=Sony)
hopefully someone can shed some light on the differences between the two!

I see that more vendors are shipping the WL110 (eCost seems to have the lowest price currently), but there are still no more details and none of the vendors have any in stock. Anyone got any more info?

I first noticed this on the rebate for the WL100 from Sony... (which is still in effect, for those of you who didn't know...50$ rebate on the Wireless CF card)...
Anyway - the rebate states that it is good on the purchase of the WL100 or the WL110 card...
I couldn't find any info on Sony's site regarding the newer card...I was hoping it would be a 802.11g card and would be released before the 30 days expired on my 802.11B...but so far no such luck...
Reply privately if you can't find info on the rebate...
