Anybody know where to get one of those 5 point star shaped screwdrivers which hold the display on the NX-60?
Mine keep getting loose and I'm afraid I'm going to strip the slots in the heads of the screws if I continue to use a small jewelers screwdriver.

If you are jolly carefull, a jewlers flathead will do the trick.

The star shaped bit of a screwdriver is actually not too hard to find, most electronics supply stores will sell a screwdriver that takes multiple heads and also tend to stock the zillions of different heads about the place - but go for molybdenum hardend onces though - my unhardend set are already starting to burr after a year or so. Don't show them the clie though - it'll scare them that you might blame them if you break it. :D

I've been looking around for a little while now and hadn't had any luck either. It's not even that I really want to get in there, it's that they tried to make it so I can't!

I got mine from an outfit called Dick Smith Electronics, not much use to Americans but it might help any NZ'ers or Aussies here :/

DSE Is a very mainstream store over here though, I'm amased those screwdriver bits aren't available all over the place...

I have an NX60 that I have had open several times for battery related issues. I've been able to get the screws out (and back in) with a flat jeweler's screwdriver of the right size, but it is a chore and the screws and screwdriver are the worse for wear.

So...I brought a screw in to work and measured it with verniers and an optical comparitor and have determined that it is a metric 1.4 x 3mm. I've found 1-2 sources for them online, but typically in minimum quantities of 100 so I haven't bought them yet. If enough folks are interested in swapping to a standard slotted screw, I'll buy 100 and mail out (USA only) sets of 5 (four plus a spare) or 10 for the prorated cost of the screws plus first class postage. Send me a private reply if interested.
