Hi,

I intend to get either the SJ33 or the TG50. MP3 Player functionality is one of my main applications.

What I'd like to do is refresh a 128Mb MS with a different music selection every day or two.

Is there any software to this automatically, i.e. using a random selection from a music collection already on my PC, and then fill the memory stick accordingly. I'd really like the selection to be random so that when I listen back via the Clie it's a 'surprise'.

Thanks,
Pete.

p.s. this is basically my way of turning the Clie into an iPod. If I had an iPod it would have 20Gb on random play, but I'd only listen to a few hours a day anyway...

You could probably manage something like that with J River Media Center 9 using auto-playlists. http://www.mediajukebox.com

thanks, looks great; I'll download it tonight and have a play. I assume you're ralking about the Send To Bar feature to accomplish this?

Ok, I downloaded and installed this Media Jukebox. and found a way this will work. Well I think so, I can't be sure till I get my Clie.

I simply created a new "smartlist" with the simple rule of "~s=128". Everytime I press it or refresh it by pressing F5 it randomly picks mp3 tracks from my library upto a limit of 128Mb (usually around 120->128 Mb).

I guess the next step will be the "send to" and choosing the Clie. Voila!

Thanks again,
Pete.
