Why are people using PowerRun to run applications from the MS. Can't we just move the applications there and run them from the MS anyway?

Why not use it? Most launchers will run apps from the MS. PowerRun has the unique advantage of moving both the app and it's associated database into RAM and then back to the MS when done, Additionally PowerRun is the only one that will allow NetFront to run from the MS as it's at least 2mb in size.

Many apps, especially those that have a seperate database file or multiple files, won't run correctly straight off MS. that is the point of powerrun. It moves the app and all related databases and other files to MS until you are ready to use it, thus saving space in RAM.

Betty, you might be in the same boat as me. None of my apps have large DBs, and in my tests, apps alone launch faster from the MS using a launcher like LX or ZL (and probably the default launcher) than they do using PowerRun. It's very slight though. So, if you don't have large databases to worry about and your method is working, I would just stick with it.

Thanks to all for answering. I have to think about this. I just started using NetFront and it is 2MB. I really hate it and am mostly using Blazer but for some sites NetFront is better. If NetFront can't run from the MS except through PowerRun, maybe I will get it. First, though, I want to try different browsers. (I have tried about 3 or 4 so far and can't find one to standardize on.)
