If you could get either one (within $20) which one would you get?

TT. mainly becuase it runs os5 and the SJ doesn't.

If it were to be my primary PDA, I'd probably get the Tungsten for OS5, faster proc., form factor, bluetooth, and SD card compatibility.
But since I already have an NX70, I'd get the SJ33 for mem stick compatibility and sharing of peripherals...styli, sync cables, KB11 (originally for my SJ30, but now collecting dust).

Get the TT, I own one and its been the best for me. I gave up my NR70v for it and I've had no regerets. Its simply the best PDA I have ever owned.

It's a very hard choice to make, depending on a few factors. If you are upgrading from an existing PDA (like another Sony), I'd say chose the one that allows you to keep your old accesories. But, if you are looking to be a new user then for the price, I'd have to recommend the T|T. Even though it's screen is nowhere near the SJ33's in quality, for being an OS5 device it's a good deal.

This is actually for my wife, who is moving up from a S360. We both have our thoughts on it, (I like the Tungsten-She doesn't like the screen) but I promised her that I would get a concensus from other users. In terms of peripherals, the only thing she has is a memory stick.

If you go to work, get a TT -- especially if you're a business person.

If you go to school, get an SJ33 -- stylish form factor and great audio.

One memory stick isnt alot of accessories, I would just make the switch to the TT....looks like a great little machine. If I could justify it I would retire my T615 and get one myself.

What are people's experience with the Tungsten? I jumped off the Palm ship after my horrible experience with the m505. I am very happy with my NR70, and I like Sony in general (except for their obvious ever-changing product line). Before I'd recommit to a Palm I would want to make sure I wouldn't be getting another POS like the m505. That is my only real hangup.

I was actually gonna say that the TT beats SJ33 in every espect except in price, battery life, and the screen! :p

SJ33's screen definitely has a big leg up on the TT's.

After the Vx (my fave palm EVER) I left palm for sony. I had the 760 and the NR70v and I thought that Sony was the best thing that ever happened to the palm, but the TT came out and I just had to have it! Ever aspect of it just rocks my little world. The screen, the audio (you need the patch though) the size! and best of all, the speeed. :)

It just does not get any better.

I don't like that wannabe virtual graffiti on the TT. Couldn't they have just put a hires+ screen on it with a software VG instead of that physical sliding cover thingamajig

Hey Jeffry, nice NSX in your av, have you ever driven one/riddenin one? They're amazing machines, I was fortunate enough to ride in 2 of them on curvy backroads. Awesome cars-I lub Honda :)

Anyways, back on subject, I like the SJ, but for the same price, its hard to beat the speed and OS of the TT. I'd say go for it (the TT) but like your wife said, she doesn't like the screen. So I changed my mind. Go with the SJ :D

Thats one of its selling points though! You dont even need to open the slider to write, I use Graffiti anywhere app and write where ever I please!! Its just the best of both worlds.

I have both units. Dont ask why but I had the money to spend and compare them side by side. Both are very good units but I Decided to keep the nx70 and return the tungsten. People say the tungsten has a faster processor but my sony seems much faster and plays movies much smoother. The battery life and screen is much better on the sony than that of the Tungsten. I do miss the small size and especially the blue tooth of the Tungsten though,, very much! But the grafiti area seems to be a waste of space to me. Im sure others would not think so. My Major gripe of the tungsten is that it took a very long time to load mp3's and pics on to the secure digital card via hotsync. As default , this was the the only way to do it. Does anyone know why this was so horribly slow?

They are amazing machines indeed. I've seen them but never ride in one :(. It's my ultimate dream car though... there's still a possibility of owning one. I'll keep my fingers crossed :)
