Well, I am almost ready to take the plunge and upgrade from my NX60 to a Zodiac. My last question though is -- Can I access the Internet wirelessly through my cable modem? I have a WiFi wireless network now. However the only reason I have a wireless network is to get on the Net with my PDA from downstairs. I would not mind tossing or at least storing my WiFi router if there was a different way to enable Bluetooth access to my cable modem. CompUSA today told me they didn't think I could do that????

Hi. Leave it to CompUSA to steer you wrong. You need a Bluetooth Access point, kind of like a router with a bluetooth output. Lots of people at Zodiacgamer.com have these, and they give good reviews. BT Access points can be expensive, but shop around, and check for them on EBay.

I use a Bluetooth Dongle (USB) and I enabled Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) on my computer. I can access the internet on my Zodiac without a problem.

Yeah, I forgot about ICS and a BT dongle. Nice call, Deanne. I use a Bluetooth dial-up modem for internet access on my Z, which also works great. I'm curious, Deanne, lots of people at ZG.com have had trouble getting ICS to work with the Zodiac, how did you pull it off?

When I want something to work on my computer, I just dig and dig until it happens. It took about a week of changing this setting and that setting by putting together differnet tutorials I found on the internet. One of them was from here: PDA 24/7 Wireless Surfing (http://www.clieuk.co.uk/surf.shtml)

Another one was from here: Whizoo Bluetooth Setup (http://www.whizoo.com/bt_setup/)

I can surf the internet from my bedroom, for instance, without any additional software installed and also hotsync via bluetooth without changing any of the settings on the computer. The thing I love best about my dongle is that I can go to a .prc file, for example, and right click it within Windows Explorer and then choose Send To: Bluetooth. I select the device and it will send it to my Zodiac. This is great for trying out new Palm Programs without having to do an entire hotsync.

Also, it might be of importance that I am using Windows ME on my computer. That may make it easier or harder...I'm not sure since I don't have anything to compare it to.

I am not at home right now, so I can't really check my settings there, but since I'm probably in the minority with Windows ME, I'm not sure if anyone is still interested in my actual computer settings. Let me know if you still want the details. I'll post them.

Yep, I happen to have Windows ME and would love to hear those settings so I can save them for when I need them. How much was the dongle? I have a pretty full USB hub already did it conflict with anything? Could you give me a step-by-step how-to on this please? I find working with Windows to be extremely scary (I was always a Mac guy first although my Windows machine is the main one I use with the PDA due to the amount of Windows-specific software for such).
