Greetings,
Anyone knows if someone has written a program to play DivX movies on palm or that there is any of such development in progress? Now that plam OS runs on a much more powerful architecture, there should be one in time to come right?
Tks for the update in advance!

I know there isn't one out right now, nor have I heard any rumors of one being in development. There are a lot of things I wish would come to palm now it is more powerful but we just have to wait i guess.

I apologize if I'm wrong, but doesn't the built-in Movie Player can play Mpeg4 video?
wait, does Mpeg4 equals to DivX? Sorry

There was once an app that popped up at PalmGearHQ that said it was going to play DivX movies on OS5 devices. It was removed within the day, but I guess it's possible they could've been serious.

The image/movie conveter software that comes with the NX/NZ series allows you to convert Divx movies to the Sony Movie Player format. I have fit an entire Divx movie on a 128MB memory stick even though the resolution wasn't that great and the sound only mono.

A DivX program would make sense, especially on an ARM processor, since such software exists for PPCs using approximately the same processor. It will probably take a long time though.
