Out of memory when I hot sync

My clie NR 70 started an endless loop so I had to hard reset (soft one did not work). When I hot sync back with Babckup buddy (or from the BUB on the card), it says I do not have enough memory. I cannot restore my clie. Is there a way to eliminate some files or apps in the BUB or card and then hot sync? Thanks!

From the card, go to options, then advanced. It should give you a list of all your files that you have backed up. Check off which ones you want to restore and you should be all set.
