NX70v/u compatibility with windows

Hi,

I got a new sony clie nx70v/u but my computer is windown 98 second edition. are they compatible? anywhere i can download the hotsync application for this palm since i don't have it? i tried using the hotsync application for the nr70v/u model but it does not work- kept getting unknown device "window is unable to locate drivers".

There is no compatibility problem with window 98 SE, not what I know off. The palm desktop for hotsync application can be downloaded through this link for version 4.1:

I think it will work oK with Clie, eventhough it is for palm one devices. And, U can also try searching the thread here for this aps (Palm desktop for Clie).

thanks. I was wondering is it because i am using hotsync software made for a nr70 instead of a nx70

Just find out that there is a conduit issue if hotsync using through Palm Desktop for Palm instead of for clie. But, there is a walkaround for it through this thread:

oh thank you. i just can't wait to start fully using my peg nx70v/u. i was just concerned my machine is not compatible with it. i will the links a try.
by the way, on the palmone saite do you know which one i should pick from teh drop down menu is it asking for the Handheld/smartphone model which i know is a palm wiht which model?

try the palm zire 71 ... just want to know how big is your mail box...or do U have any FTP site. If the space is big enuff ... I'll upload the Palm Desktop for clie to U. It's much better than having to tweak the palm version of desktop.

Price, screen size, screen brightness, faster proccessor, more ergonomic, CF slot... I can just keep going. Seems to me the better question is why would someone buy a UX?

hahaha..great answers .... I do find the nx70v is robust, with easier access to compact flash card unlike my current nx80v.
