I have always enjoyed Cliesource although I have not been a frequent poster, but that is more based on the fact that most of my questions could be answered by searching through previous posts. I do not care for the new "post-clie" format. Enough said on that.
I am disappointed in Sony with their recent announcement. I feel that I have made an investment in their company through my loyalty to the Clie and it's accessories, and would continue to upgrade as long as they continue to raise the bar. I even recently purchased a Vaio pc and am very impressed with the features (Gigapocket, Sonicstage, etc.) and how well they compliment with the Clie. I could, however, have purchased another pc with similar features that will work better in the future with a non-Clie PDA. I currently have an NX80 and was considering getting the TH55. Now I am wondering should I get one while I still can or should I move on to Palm or PPC. In the past it was a no-brainer, if Sony made it I would probably give it the longest look. Now I feel Sony's proprietary nature and it's willingness to discontinue a product line is a cause for concern.

Get the best possible. UX50, if you need all except the keyboard then get a TH55. Still you are paying for genuine state-of-the-art multimedia mobile communicator which can closely replace your desktop pc if you have the right accessory. Wireless IR keyboard for heavy typing, 1-2GB MS Pro for all your media storage. Wifile (software) to remotely access ALL your files on the pc network. EB40 for maximum battery life. MDR EX51 ear buds for music heaven. This is all you need, have fun if you can afford.

NX80 is nice, simularly you can get it for the 1.3 MP camera with flash but again, Cybershot will do it better. None of the intergrated camera on Palms, phones, whatever that can match the real thing. It has CF slot, if you dont need Wifi you still can use it as storage (with driver). The options are cut down by half as the UX has more flexibility in functions.

Hey whatever floats your boat and whatever fits your budget. I promise a desktop replacement when you have all the accessories I listed.
