Found a guy that I work with who is giving me his "broken" NR because it turns on but refuses to stay that way.

What does it do, shut off after 3 minutes?

I wish I can be that lucky.  There is a nice & small (4KB) freeware, call AlwayOn, that can fix that problem.

Ahem, the "hold" button.

Oh, you meant the power light was on but no display on the screen. Yes I've been there and done that. My heart skip a beat and thought I broke it, until I realize the hold button was activated by accident. Duh!

Are you gonna take it from him? Be a pal...let him know...

Yeah...you need to tell him of his error...you'd be stealing it from him if you didn't.

Actually, the "coworker" is a guy selling his unit on ebay. And "free" meant I am bidding on it.

However, about 6 other people have figured this out. So I'm going to email the seller and tell him about the auto-off and the hold button.

But if it was a friend, I would have told him/her right off the bat.

You're werd.

Anyways, look at the picture in that auction. Look how far open that NR is. That's not healty.

So, why did you lie to us?

I'm guessing it is this auction... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3010545285&category=15031

Yea.. that is seriously not healthy. Looks like they thought the screen would fold all the way around the back...

And here I thought we were a close nit community, not good JohnBoy, not good at all.

Yea I don't think that it should be lying flat on the ground like that. It is almost painful to look at.

I'm suprised at how personally it looks like you're taking this. If you want to win an auction you naturally don't tell everyone about it.

Yeah, but I don't go gloating and making up stories about it either ;-)

Are you guys sure that the clie is open too far in that picture? Looks like the keyboard part is elevated off the ground. Like the screen is flat on the ground, but its tipped over cause its top heavy. If you look at it, if it were truly open to 180 degres, then the keyboard half of the clie should be even with the cable sitting there. In the pic though its blocking it. Am I making any sense?

I feel sorry for the guy who bought this if the picture is correct, all I am waiting for now is a new thread re "My screen doesn't work ?? should it be lying flat like this ??"

Personally I didn't think it would go for even $100, let alone $200. I mean, it says "as is", meaning if it has issues, there's nothing you can do about it besides cry.

So now you're saying that the winning bidder is the dumbest man on earth?
